Powerpoint Partner
Our presentation is off to a slow start but I'm not concerned at all. I feel my partner and I worked well together on the wiki's project and we will do just as good on this project. Our topic is technology with special education and the role it plays in the classroom. I enjoy working with a partner more than working alone not only are you able to interact with others but you also don't have to do all the work.

Week 7
I think that technology should be met almost all the way with what the students do. It keeps them interested in the classroom activities by doing what they already know and makes them work better for the most part.
I really believe that online chats and instant messaging within the class in a major distraction. I think that some students may try and do the online chatting to do their work but even when we had to get on the instant messaging in class many people didn't talk about the project in hand, and we are much older and more mature for the most part.
I think there are benefits to using asynchronous, text-based communication over synchronous because when students need to find out information or have a question at home, they have a better chance of getting their question answered more rapidly. With face-to-face communication the students can get their question answered immediately but also may have questions about the same problem later and will not have anyone to ask.
I believe podcasts does not enhance learning for students, I think it is easier way of delivering information but if the podcasts does not give clear information the students will become lost and not be able to complete the tasks.
I only believe educational video games help develop children with their studies. If the kids are just on there all day long playing shooting games what is that teaching them? When I have children they will be able to play videos games but only for a short period of time and after all of their homework is completed.

Delicious
I personally do not care for this web site. I think it is just another web site that students can get caught up in instead of spending their time doing more resourceful things on the internet. I think it would be a waste of time to even introduce this web site to students. I will not use this web site in the future.
